Jackie and Pat had a super emotional and beautiful wedding at the Beauport Hotel in Gloucester. We traveled to the beach for first look and portraits and everyone was such a trooper climbing the rocks. This was the third time I have been able to shoot with Jackie and Pat and it gets better each time! High 5’s to Maura for rocking as my second 🙂

Just about one year ago, I talked to Nikki and Steve for the first time as they excitedly told me about their vision for their Block Island wedding.  They had just gotten engaged, and Block Island has been a special place in their relationship from the beginning…so it made sense that they would choose it as the destination for their wedding.  They were staying at the Sullivan House that vacation, and when Steve popped the question to Nikki, they popped the question to the Sullivan House and the planning began!

Diana and I fastened our seatbelts, took the car to the ferry, and were off for a day of adventure with these two and their closest family and friends.  The two of them went to the same high school (though they didn’t date until later in life) and had many of the same friends…which made for a rocking party full of laughter and familiar faces all around.  The island was gorgeous, and the perfect setting for their wedding day.  Nikki’s sister performed a most excellent wedding ceremony, and Legit Band rocked the tent.

Congratulations on a beautiful wedding, you guys!

XOXO

Sarah

As Diana and I drove up to Vermont for Chloe & Dan’s Mad River Barn wedding, we could just tell it was going to be an awesome day. It’s hard not to get inspired as your drive through the rolling green and tiny towns that make up the landscape of Vermont. We pulled in with enough time to check out the property (including the beautiful, newly finished Pavilion) and to eat some lunch before we were off to meet up with the bride and groom as they got ready.

I knew that the details would be fabulous. Chloe and Dan are both incredibly creative and have such great attention to the little things. The set-up for the bridal prep was amazing, with a private mirror and all the necessities (including coasters and champagne glasses!) for each lovely lady. The room set-up did not disappoint, as their vision worked in perfectly with the atmosphere of the venue.

Rain was in the forecast, and sure enough, a torrential storm rolled through right before ceremony time. It didn’t phase Chloe, though, and remember that brand new pavilion that I mentioned? It was the perfect indoor setting to exchange their vows.

The rain cleared quickly, and the sun was back for picture time. Everything was extra green, too! Diana and I were so glad to be a part of this amazing day. Amazing enough that we basically want to move to Vermont and drink Heady Topper with a side of Ben & Jerry’s every day!

XOXO Sarah
