Can you believe I grew up in MA and never visited Plimouth Plantation? I’m ashamed. I want to go back and poke around again, some day, but only if Kara & Hiro go with me…because I’m pretty sure it wouldn’t be as much fun without them. Hiro had us giggling all day with his outrageous faces and poses and non-stop energy. Kara had me wishing I was her BFF, talking about life in Brooklyn and all her traveling and her love of adventure.
Kara got ready at the house of one of her bridesmaid’s parents…they were so kind and gracious and welcoming, and opened their home up to the ladies (and eventually, the guys) to get ready and shoot some portraits. From there, we headed over to the Plantation, thinking warm, warm, warm thoughts as we shivered through their portraits. Their good friend Ian (love that name – it’s my brother’s, too) performed their ceremony in the gardens and then we hightailed it to the heated tent for some delicious food, fabulous toasting, get-your-blood-pumping dancing and Photo Booth fun.
Their next stop? Japan! Where, amongst other fabulous things, they will have celebration #2 with Hiro’s family there. I wish you guys safe travels and grand adventures and delicious food and thank you for a most wonderful day!
